UniCal Convention Signed - Regional Transport
Prof. Sergio Greek, Director of DEIS (Department of Electronics, Computer and Systems Engineering) University of Calabria, and the burden. Demetrio Naccari Carlizzi, Regional Minister for Transport, have signed this morning in the Council Chamber at the Rectory, a convention that extends the range of partnerships that are involved, the Region and the University of Calabria Arcavacata.
In particular, the agreement provides that the University of Calabria, via the DEIS, the Regional Department of Transportation supports the objective of that to "increase the degree of satisfaction of users of IT and telecommunication services" through a project which allows to rationalize and optimize phases search for connections among eligible nodes in the network transport of the Calabria region. "
The agreement also provides that the DEIS, having gained considerable experience in issues related to optimization of the local public transport, ensure their cooperation to the Regional Transportation for the research, analysis and case studies to build tools so as to allow an easy use by users of information related to the transport sector.
will be the responsibility of the DEIS, finally, to ensure their support to the Regional Transportation for the development of innovative tools and solutions for the optimal use of the services public transport.
Among the most important objectives under the Convention, the contribution of the DEIS to the implementation and testing of new products / services, the testing of optimization techniques and advanced data analysis, the simplification and improvement of services provided to users to encourage training of university students and regional employees, through work experience, on issues covered by the agreement.
